Discovering the Arab world
2h
1 to 25 maximum
Founded in 1987 by France and the Arab League, the Institute of Arab World aims to act as a cultural bridge between France and the Arab world, promoting Arab culture in all its forms.
With one of its modern Moucharabieh facades, the institute is a true meeting place and place of exchange. Since its foundation, it has contributed to strengthening cultural, political, economic, and social ties between France and the Arab world.
Our visit to the museum will plunge you into the Arab world from antiquity to the 20th century, via the birth of Islam in the 7th century. We will take you on a journey through photography, sculpture, everyday objects and more.
We will also take a tour of the forest of columns inspired by the colonnades of the Great Mosque of Cordoba, the Tower of Books inspired by the minaret of Samarra in Iraq, before finishing on the rooftop of the building, which offers an incredible panoramic view of the city island and the Cathedral of Notre- Dame .
This tour is a real treat!
